Little boys don’t want to grow up. Keep them kids and having fun even when it’s time to dress up nicely.
Boys will be boys and boys tend to be gross. We like the dirt and mud. I don’t know why, but it’s a fact of nature. Moms are not a fan of this because who normally ends up scrubbing those clothes to try and get the stains out? Moms. So for you moms out there, I’ve got 3 DIY homemade stain removers you can try next time. We know that there are harsh chemicals in many of today’s leading brands of stain removers and cleaners and the more often you can take the natural route, the healthier your family will be.
Homemade Stain Removers
1. This first one is simple. Get a bottle with a spraying mechanism and add 2 parts hydrogen peroxide, 1 part dish liquid. We recommend the blue Dawn. Simply spray on a stain, rub it in, rinse it out. It can also be used as a pre-treatment for stains. Test in an inconspicuous area first because the hydrogen peroxide might discolor clothes! But it will definitely do the trick to remove stains. This would be a great solution for white clothing. Or clothes that are supposed to be white…
2. This next one should be made on an on-call basis because it doesn’t seem to keep that well for very long. Mix 2 parts hot water, 1 part baking soda, 1 part hydrogen peroxide. This recipe works great for colors and whites.
3. Here we have a great mixture because it does keep well over a period of time, so make a few loads. This one uses ammonia and with all of these stain removers that include ammonia, you should never add bleach to the mix. It can cause a serious harmful reaction. Chemistry is important folks. I wish someone had told me that before I took biology twice instead… So here you go: 2 quarts water, 1/2 cup ammonia, 2 TBS natural laundry detergent.
We are all ears here at Little Boy Mart! Do you have any more recipes that you use? How is it our grandparents didn’t have isles of detergents and soaps to pick from in their stores, yet they still kept their clothes clean?
Our spectacular sequin bow ties are priced super affordably so fashionable little boys can enjoy them year-round. Available for just $1.65, we have wholesale little boys’ bow ties for every occasion. Your little guy will be patriotic in our red adjustable sequin bow tie this 4th of July, and he’ll be the perfectly accessorized ring-bearer in our turquoise bow tie.
To stay current on Little Boy Mart’s visual brand, we updated our store logo! Our new logo displays a boy wearing a bright, fun tie. We love that the new logo reflects our inventory in a bold way, while still using the same design concept as the former logo.
Keeping continuity in a brand is important, and we didn’t want to confuse our customers by going too far away from the look that has worked so well for us in the past.
